Sunrise Yoga (Level 1)
Sunrise Yoga is an excellent transition from Gentle Yoga to Hatha Flow. This class will start with a gentle warmup to wake the body. Then, you will practice the components of Sun Salutations in a slow and easy manner Class finishes with deep relaxation.
Hatha Flow (Level 1&2)
For the enthusiastic beginner or intermediate student. This class provides more detailed instructions on the alignment of basic postures and introduces more advanced poses with an emphasis on building strength, deeper stretching, backbending, twisting and inversions. Poses are held longer and combined with Vinyasa Flow (Sun Salutations) at a moderate pace.
Hatha Flow (Level 2)
For the advanced student this class is designed to take students to the next level of challenge. More advanced postures and sequences are introduced that require a bit more strength, stamina & flexibility. Come prepared to sweat.
Kundalini Yoga (All Levels)
A traditional form of kriya yoga brought to the west by Yogi Bhajan that utilizes breath, movement, angles and sound to awaken energy flowing in the spine, the chakra system and the subtle bodies. Classes include a kundalini yoga set, a meditation and mantra that work directly to strengthen and balance the nervous system and the endocrine system while raising consciousness.
Meditation in Kundalini Yoga contains specific techniques that will help you overcome mental and emotional barriers. It uses breath, mantra, mudras, focus and lecture to develop determination and grit. There is a myth that when you meditate you should be able to quiet your mind. The mind generates thousands of thoughts per second and when you begin a meditation practice you will become very aware of what is going on in the background of your mind. Distractions are the rule. Have patience with yourself and allow the process to clean out any negativity that may come up.
Restorative Yoga (Level 0)
This class starts with a gentle stretching routine to release restlessness from the body. Then you'll relax deeply in restorative yoga postures, comfortably cushioned and proped with blankets, bolsters or blocks in all the right places. Restorative Yoga helps us learn to relax while improving flexibility and will leave you feeling nourished and well rested.
Candlelight Yoga (Level 1)
Our Candlelight Yoga class is a perfect blend of stretching & supported restorative work. This class is designed to help you melt away tension and increase a sense of clamness and peacefulness.
Gentle Yoga Blend (Level 1)
This class combines gentle components of Hatha yoga, Qi-Gong and Kundalini yoga to create a safe and healthful experience for beginners of all ages. You'll move every joint, muscle and tendon, improve flexiblity, strength and balance and release stress and tension while learning more about different styles of yoga and meditation.
Gentle Hatha (Level 1)
This beginner friendly class introduces Hatha yoga breathing techniques, stretching, postures and movements that will relax and renew mind and body. Designed to help you become more in tune with your body while improving flexiblity, strength and balance.
Introduction to Hatha Flow (Level 1 )
This class is an excellent transition from Gentle Yoga to Hatha Flow. You'll learn a sequence that will help you build strength, flexibility and confidence for Vinyasa Flow (Sun Salutations). Focus will be on fundamentals of Sun Salutation and linking breath with movement. The pace will be slow to develop calmness and centering. You'll learn to enjoy the dance like movements in Vinyasa Flow while staying within your own physical limits.
